Included in the price

• Accommodation at the farmhouse in a twin/double room for 7 nights
• You can check in any time after 3pm on day 1 and check-out by noon on day 8
• 2 cooking lessons in afternoon day 2, 4
• 4 horse riding or carriage driving lessons
• 1 preparation session on day 7
• Cooking lessons last for around 3 - 4 hours each
• A morning visit to the local market before your cooking lesson on day 4
• A morning lesson helping to prepare the farewell BBQ on day 7 (can be substituted for horse riding or carriage driving if you prefer)
• All cooking materials, apron and ingredients
• Your choice of horse riding or carriage driving take place on days 2, 3, 6 and 7
• All horse riding equipment (not footwear or clothing)
• Breakfast daily
• A picnic/light lunch at the stables on days 2, 3, 4 and 6
• A BBQ lunch on day 7
• A welcome dinner with wine at the farmhouse on your arrival day
• The evening meal you’ve learned to cook on day 2 and 4
• Dinner with wine at the farmhouse on days 3,6 and 7
• An evening excursion to Lagos or the nearby villages
• The evening excursion on 1 evening includes transport to Lago or the local villages, you will leave the farmhouse around 6pm and return at approximately 10pm
• Prices are based on two sharing in the accommodation, a single supplement applies for those travelling solo who wish to book a private single room
• Note: Shared single bunk rooms are available on request
• A free pick-up and drop off from Lagos train station (please advise arrival details)

School overview

Set on the edge of the beautiful Costa Vincentina National Park, 15 minutes north of the cosmopolitan harbour town of Lagos in Portugal, this rural farmhouse retreat runs both horse riding holidays and cookery holidays. The farmhouse stands in 50 acres of rolling hillside with wonderful views over Cape St Vincent, the most southerly point of Europe. Stay in one of the 4 simple rustic rooms in the farmhouse and either enjoy horse riding or cookery for a holiday with a difference.
